Martial Arts

I have studied and practiced Martial Arts for many years, focusing on teaching Womans Self Defense, Tai Chi and Ninjutsu.

POWER OF CHI

Chi is considered a vital energy which is believed to move through pathways in our body's called meridians. Chi is a non physical energy that is thought to create health balance through our entire system. My studies in a variety of healing systems and martial arts led me to research the focus of energy not only for healing purposes but also martial arts enhancment.

Womans self defense class will teach stratagies taken from the four elements of nature. Earth: standing firm Water: defensive Fire: assertive Air: avoidence. Each move will be based on one of these elements that are whithin us. Self defense teachings allow you to feel and examine your situation and apply the unique strategies, so you can feel empowered.

This class is taught in a relaxed fun atmosphere where optional learning and group interaction is welcome. Classes start slow and increase in intensity as experience builds.

Tai Chi for adults and seniors is done on a level that helps the body stay youthful, healthy, and vibrant. Proper practice enhances the aura/electrical field and chi flow all through the body. This practice involves very slow movements that can be done to music or nature sounds. I have found Tai Chi has helped me become much more efficient in my other martial arts practices as well as my weight traing and psychic skills as a healer. You will learn practices that will support and allow free flow of the chi life giving  energies to organs, muscles, etc. and allow better circulation through the whole body.

Ninjutsu workshops and seminars will also be available in the near future. The concepts for this class are explored through the original teaching tools by American martial artist Steven K. Hayes. He has wrote many books on the subject and is a valuable resource. His use of the elemental approach has helped with understanding the details. Each element is linked to an emotional state, Earth: standing firm, Water: defensive, Fire: assertive, and Air: avoidence, blending in. There will be a no rank system, and will be a basic, intermediate teaching of the details associated with Ninjutsu to provide a sample of this art and to keep learning. Serious students will be directed to my seniors in the art.
